643156 2008-02-24 10:53:00 Well i recently got myself a new computer which i cherish very much because it runs games like a charm, recently though iv been getting a blue screen of death (BSOD).
I wrote down the following information that was displayed when the bsod appeared on booting my computer.
0x0000000A (0X000001DC, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0X8205F132)
Not sure what it means and id really like to get this fixed because it makes me think my computers crapping out, i have latest graphics drivers, not sure about mobo but i think so.
specs:
dual 8800 GT oc version nvidia
core 2 quad 2.4ghz
s series gigabyte motherboard
vista 32 bit home premium

I doubt im overheating because my case is pretty much one giant fan, the only place with no air holes is the top and thats where the zalman cooler is placed.
Im a newbie at this stuff so any help would be appreciated or any ideas as to what may be wrong.

643158 2008-02-24 20:07:00 two pages you can read....

kadaitcha.cx
www.aumha.org

most often this is a sign of driver problems or bad RAM.
95% of the time it a driver problem.

643159 2008-02-24 20:13:00 Does it show the name of a file or driver?? Speedy Gonzales (78)
643160 2008-02-25 05:58:00 Hey thanks guys, could it may be an ACPI error because i was looking through EventVwr.msc and found an error that has occured several times with this description "IRQARB: ACPI BIOS does not contain an IRQ for the device in PCI slot 5, function 0. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance." wicked765 (13436)

643162 2008-02-25 12:11:00 Ah cool, that sounds like my problem. Thanks.
It says i can safely ignore it, or is there a way to fix it?
I did read it but im only 13 and not too clear on what it wants me to do lol

643163 2008-02-25 12:17:00 You're right, you can ignore it UNLESS this is happening:

A yellow explanation mark (!) appears next to the device in Device Manager.
You receive the following error message in the Properties dialog box for the device in Device Manager:
This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

Is any of this relevant to your situation? If it is then additional steps will be needed to resolve the issue. It wont be as simple as just ignoring the BSOD.

643164 2008-02-25 18:47:00 This BSOD IRQL_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL message looks familar. I didn't think it was over heating either, but it was. There was too much dust in it stoping the flow of air. If it is a new computer then I guess dust build up is unlikely. I had check RAM and also sorts, but all it needed was a good blow out and clean. I guess I should have worked it out, as looking back it used to happen more frequently on hot summer days. jberries (13063)
643165 2008-02-26 05:47:00 ok iv checked device manager and havent found any of those exclamation marks so all i need to do now is figure out how to prevent bsod, it only happens now once every 5-10 boots.
Thanks for all your support on this by the way
