642715 2008-02-22 22:04:00 Hi , my internet seems to start slowing down after surfin net for about 20 minutes.I,m on xnet and using a d-link dsl504-g router. If i disconnect the power to router for couple minutes and restart it is better for awhile then slows again.Spoke to xnet and they told me to reconfigure internet protocol settings in pc so pc changes www. adresses to i.p adress instead of router. This worked good to for awhile. Is it possible router faulty?Did a speed test download 1500kbps and upload 78 kbps ,other night upload was only 25kbps, download was 1200. Any help much appreciated mrplane (11854)
642716 2008-02-22 23:07:00 1200 sounds pretty damn good to me.

I'm with slingshot and can't get more than 300 :(

642717 2008-02-22 23:52:00 mrplane, Maybe it's your browser, have you deleted temp files, History, cookies etc Lately? Your speeds do look a bit slow though. I'm with xnet too and am getting 3.9 Mbs down and 635 kbps up.
What plan are you on?

642718 2008-02-23 00:06:00 i,m on river plan, when i was with telecom speed was about the same, due to my location.I dont live far from exchange but lines go the long way to get to me. I regulary delete temp files etc.If i want to watch video have to wait for it to buffer all the time mrplane (11854)
642719 2008-02-23 00:23:00 Are the videos smooth when you play them??

If they are, thats normal. Buffering is normal as well.

Or do they stop and start?

Yup, you are

I was watching the Oz and Sri Lanka cricket game last night with a program.
(online, not via a tuner).

It had to buffer before I saw something.

BUT, once it had finished, it was smooth as. No jerking / stopping and starting

That was, until it started raining over there.
