642554 2008-02-22 01:29:00 When was the last time, it was going properly?

Does it boot into safe mode?

WHAT did you install , or WHAT were you doing before it started rebooting?

642555 2008-02-23 00:46:00 What are you running? Vista or XP? I read an article the other day that said a Vista Windows security patch caused some PCs to go into a infinite reboot loop. jberries (13063)
642556 2008-02-23 00:54:00 Yup this update (support.microsoft.com)

And just to make everyone's day, Vista SP1 will also break some programs (support.microsoft.com)

Until you update them

642557 2008-02-23 01:06:00 If it is an older machine it can be one of several causes.
Try lowering the bus speed.
Then you might try reinstalling the operating system, if you have the disk.

642558 2008-02-23 01:36:00 Yeah, what OS, and what do you mean when you say repair? HDD Repair? System Recovery? Formatting? Deathwish (143)

probably a windows repair ran from the XP install CD. Vista doesn't have a repair option.

642560 2008-02-23 08:23:00 Yeah, the best solution if stuck in a infinite reboot loop in Vista is to boot into Safe Mood and system restore to a day or two before the update was applied. beeswax34 (63)
