330712 2005-03-04 23:12:00 This is my first time and I hope someone will help me out. I am searching for slide show presentation software for my XP operating system that will transition SMOOTHLY from one still image to the next. I need a very gradual, seamless fade-in that doesn't seem possible with Powerpoint. Am I wrong? Or is there a plug-in or other software out there that anyone knows of? Also, I need to manually control going from one slide to the next. It can't be on a timeline. Appreciate any advice anyone has. Thank you! -- Ruth RuthAnne (7512)

330714 2005-03-04 23:41:00 You could try http://www.irfanview.com which is free and does slideshows.

And after u do the slideshow, it'll do an exe, or u can burn it to cd. It looks like has a few plugins u can use. For different things. Not sure about transitions / fade ins / outs tho.

Or Nerovision, which isnt free from http://www.nero.com

BUT lets u burn to cd / dvd, and also has a few transitions u can add to photos, for slideshows. Is it photos you're putting in the slideshow?

Dont know about the manual control. You could put in how many secs/mins u want between each slide maybe. I spose if its on videocd/dvd u can go backwards and forwards with the remote.
