I have a laptop with Windows XP Pro (thats nice). Anyways, its got to a point where I want to reload it but NOT the IBM version supplied on the hidden partition on my laptop. What if I borrowed an OEM cd and did a complete reinstallation using my serial no (which is MINE). Ok, I would need to activate it but presumably Microsoft can handle my serial no or are resellers allocated special serial numbers (judging by a recent change in Microsoft's Windows XP activation policy, I suspect they are). :confused:
Or should I load Linux on my laptop... actually I have. I've installed it on my usb drive and boot from that. |
