| 328536 | 2005-02-26 23:45:00 | Who cares? (apart from obviously alot of nosey people) No doubt it's all blown out of proportion. I think it was right to give the guy name suppression as it saves us all from the media frenzy that would inevitably occur. So he's been convicted and punished, end of story. If it was anyone else, noone would care. Why should he be scarred for life all for the sake of an obsession with peering into the private lives of people in the public eye. |

| 328537 | 2005-02-26 23:51:00 | He strove for a position in life where his name and face are known, that shouldn't give him rights over and above the average joe. If he gives the bash to his Mrs then his name should be known, just like it would if I had done such a deed. Scum behaviour, and the piper must be paid, Name supression after a conviction is disgusting. |

It only took about 20 seconds to find out the name of the player. I have no interest at all in the matter, nor will I divulge the name that was found (in a number of sites). Just did it because I could. |

And neither do his family. Giving out his name would be enough punishment for them, as well as an end to his career (probably). My question is why do we feel the need to know his name? |

| 328541 | 2005-02-27 02:08:00 | hmmm....It means nothing to me who it is, Haven't bothered to look it up, I just disagree with name supression after a conviction is made. He put himself in a position where his actions would be newsworthy, and he done the deed that had him facing a court. If he suffers for it, then thats excellent, those who are elevated into the public eye should behave themselves. |

Buggered that one up didn't he ? What about all the other all blacks who have pregnant wives. Name suppression for this maggot tars them with same shame. Any "man" who hits women is a coward, any "man who hits a pregnant woman" is cowardly pond scum. |

| 328543 | 2005-02-27 05:18:00 | Well I think we should all just get over it and watch the rugby this season without getting all worked up over who it may have been. It's the business of the family and no-one else. |
