| 643168 | 2008-09-24 05:31:00 | Sad to say it, but I think the problem is the 8800 card. I have an 8800 and have the exact same problem. Games play fine up to an hour if I'm lucky, then consistent Blue Screens of Death. Only games, though, apps run fine. So far I've disabled SLI and yanked one card out of the machine (I had two cards). It hasn't helped. I'm supposed to try the other card this weekend to see if that helps, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Upgrading to Vista helped a bit. There was a special windows update for people with GEForce video cards which made the card a lot more stable, but all that means is I get BLUE SCREENS 3 times a day instead of 12. |
