| 642613 | 2008-02-22 04:11:00 | Re running the PVR program, I have a shortcut on the desktop that I usually use and another one in the <Start> menu, but there are no options for running the old, or as I can see, any other program. I run a sound editing program, Adobe Audition as I do a lot of recording in a home studio for a radio station that I work for. I use Itunes as a playback and keep all my music in there, around 25GB. The sound card is Soundmax. I'll reboot and check again and post again lkater this evening or tommorrow. Again thanks for your help. Alan |

| 642614 | 2008-02-22 07:39:00 | Right, an update. Graqndkids gone home and I have hopefully removed via <add Remove programs> the previous tuner card. I rebooted and have come up with the error again "WinFast PVR Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Under device manager there is only one item that is suspiscious this is labelled <unknown Device>. For some reason I can't seem to get the screen print to work, it is something I have not had to do before and it just doens' seem to be cooperating. There are three Winfast VC100 WDM items listed they are Audio Capture, Crossbar and Video Capture, the last two are shown as working properly however the Audio Capture is shown as not working. This coul;d be due to the fact that the sound input goes through the sound card rather than the tuner but I am only guessing on that. |

| 642615 | 2008-02-22 08:00:00 | If the entries circled (www.imagef1.net.nz) Are on yours, delete them, then reboot. (they may not have the same name as the pic, coz mine is the Deluxe tuner) Get the drivers ready for the tuner again. XP may ask for them. Leave the soundcard drvers there. If youre using Spybot S&D, DISABLE teatimer, BEFORE you install the PVR program. Uninstall the PVR application thats installed and try the version here (www.leadtek.com) Its called PVR 2. Thats what I use, even tho this isnt the version for this deluxe tuner. And its got a better interface than the version for this tuner and it works good. Are you SURE you downloaded the drivers for XP, NOT Vista? The Audio capture entry on this says the driver isnt installed as well. BUT, I think this is whats called a "dummy entry" The sound does work. |
