| 329681 | 2005-03-02 04:26:00 | What is it like being banned from PressF1? Im just curious, and don't encourage me to try to get banned. Might get banned for life. Do you get an email from a mod? When you register, does it say, 'you can not log in.... because you are banned for x more days'? Posting some screen shots would be great! :D |

PM's can't be accessed whilst you are banned, so no point informing the person via PM unless it was meant to be "when you get back, here is a more indepth reason why to read ... etc." They can get told via the offending post when a Mod leaves an edit comment in it, or via email. If a person doesn't accept PM's (or have the Mods blocked), plus an invalid email, then that is not our problem :p I don't know what message you get if you try to log in whilst banned. You can still view the site, but only as a guest. |

You can still view posts/threads/etc just not respond with your normal username. Enjoyment can be had by spotting threads with problems you know how to fix and watch it turn into a train wreck of bad advice knowing full well it'd be solved if you could post - reverse justice really. It also helps to highlight huge inconsistencies in moderation. Feel free to try it yourself, I'd suggest one of the well known weekly threads would be a good place to start proceedings. :thumbs: Good luck. (and probably see you all in 24 hours :groan: ) |
