643679 2008-02-26 06:23:00 hi, does anyone know where i can find a good he-aac audio codec for the new terrestrial free-view. i am running an open source media center and i will need the codec so that i can view the dvb-t broadcasts.
currently media portal does not work with this audio format but they are working on it as we speak :)
so any ideas would be great :)

643681 2008-02-26 11:16:00 right now the aac sound from dvb-t signals are a pain to play
simply because the players aren't doing their job properly (due to the LATM implementation being unsupported)

the one piece of software that works right now is dvbviewer with its libfaad2 wrapper filter plugin, allowing the aac to be played back

um.. don't think a lot of dvb-t stuff have been talked about on pf1
you might want to head over to geekzone for more discussions relating to dvb-t
