643340 2008-02-25 02:54:00 Has anyone done this and got a performance boost? I've read articles using google and there aren't that many people who actually use it as a workstation. reason being is I want my OS to see all of my ram and might go quad core soon and xp wont see more than two cores and over 3 and a half gigs of ram. So.. just wondering if anyone here is using it.

the other solution is vista.... lol nup :badpc:

643341 2008-02-25 03:02:00 I have heard of developers using Windows Server 2008 as workstations, to make use of the Hyper-V technology. In any case, server OSes aren't really intended for workstation use, so it's pretty much a matter of do it at your own risk. somebody (208)
