These people take half your labour and give it to those who will keep them there and you say the subject is overdone!
Believe it or not, there are other things other than computers.

331530 2005-03-08 18:51:00 It burns me when I do callouts at 2 in the morning, knowing that 40% of my on-call pay goes to tax, used by the government to support parasites who are sleeping peacefully in their cozy beds.

As for the on-call, I have no option to not do it, it comes with the job. As for the tax, because I am in a high earnings job I receive none of the benefits like child support, but it cost me exactly the same to keep my kids clothed, fed and educated.

If the government are going to provide benefits to the general population it should be to everyone, not only to the parasites who are to lazy to better themselves in life. That is what democracy should be all about, not this washed up semi-socialist structure in place currently where the honest hardworking fella gets milked at every front to support the useless who don't contribute to the country's growth in any way.

That's exactly the way I see the average New Zealander's mentality - "As long as it's not in my own backyard".

The reality is that after paying taxes, mortgage, loans, food, clothes, services, etc. I am probably worse off than the beneficiaries living in their state housing. Perhaps I should become one of the parasites too. :@@:

An interesting article I read the other day in the NZ Herald was about the pensioners taking student loans and never repaying before they die. The attitude was - "I paid tax all my life, so I deserve something back"

Although I don't condone it, it is one way of getting some of my tax money back in the distant future...
