| 331377 | 2005-03-07 00:03:00 | Had a look at the PCWorld poll on recycling and saw the Dell link mentioned, I went to it, looked at it and wondered if anyone has used them for recycling computers before? This is the Link I got (www1.ap.dell.com) |

At $36 to pick it up and take it away, I can't see too many takers, and credits only apply to components suitable for recycling. Heaven knows who will actually use their computers built with recycled components, but perhaps Dell have their eyes on selling cheap rebuilt PCs to the Chinese market? Cheers Billy 8-{) |

Harvey Norman may also have something. you could also try the 50 dollar column in the southland times on thursday, or you could buy online like at ascent or the next best bet for second had cases would be trade me. dont worry, your not the only one that is really annoyed with the prices of pc gear down here, if i buy new gear i mostly go to DSE or for 2nd hand stuff, trade me suits me occasionally.but i wouldnt mind trying an online shop like ascent. Hope that helps :) |

| 331384 | 2005-03-07 09:25:00 | pretty sure this is bought on by law changes in the EU and the States (or at least pressure to make laws) about the amount of toxic crap finding its way into land files via the dumping of millions of dells every year. Best place for them though. I would imagine the $36 would cover the removel and disposel of whatever it is that they are worried about. |
