331227 2005-03-06 08:10:00 Ad on TV (tusson or tuscon or something) says that it is:

"The only mattress approved by N.A.S.A"

What the hell are N.A.S.A doing approving mattresses?

331228 2005-03-06 08:30:00 Think it is more to do with the foam in the mattress. NASA developed a foam which has a "memory" to your shape. They needed this product so that the early astronauts didn't get squashed into a pancake under the extreme G-forces they would experience during landing/takeoff.

Mattress manufacturers use this foam to add comfort to the mattress.

So N.A.S.A haven't branched out into the 'lets stick our name on something for lots of money!'.

Dang it, I was hoping for a scandal.

331231 2005-03-06 09:50:00 Space mattresses indeed ! A long time ago when, space travel was getting started, there was an interesting discussion on a newsgroup on the problems of making love under weightless conditions... The mind boggles ... TonyF (246)
