| 643984 | 2008-02-27 02:51:00 | I have the ekvgsnw toolbar and my taskmanager is grayed out, system administrator, which is me, has set policies not to let installations run,( I didn't do it) internet explorer will only go to two certain pages and thats it no matter what i type in, computer is slow, cant get live updates with norton and norton wont even perform correctly, i need help guys! | janniiie (13443) | ||

I'd suggest you download Hijackthis (you may need to do this on another PC by the sounds of this), put it in it's own folder, do a system scan and save a log file, and post the contents here (copy the logfile across to another PC to post it) Hopefully Speedy will be around soon to suggest a plan of action. In the interim, try downloading Spyware Doctor: www.zdnet.com.au If you can install this, run it in safe mode, and see what it comes up with. The easiest option if you're comfortable with it, is probably to pull the drive out of the PC in question, and put it into a clean PC, and run a spyware/antivirus check from there. HTH |

| 643987 | 2008-02-27 04:37:00 | Get trojan remover in my sig, if u can . If it doesnt install properly in normal Windows. Do it in safe mode, then click on scan. Then select all options under the utilities menu. That may restore things If you cant get to the site, to get trojan remover, the direct link is here (www.simplysup1.com) Get rid of Nortons, and get something better like NOD/Avast. |
