645111 2008-02-29 22:47:00 Hi guys

I have a range of feedback from my friends in regarding the services at Ihug... i have some saying that, ihug is very good, and some people say ihug is always disconnecting and it always for them to arrange a technican, it takes so long....

Could you please advise how is the services in particular at people at the Birkenhead area.

I am quite tempted to change the phone package to ihug (vodafone), but i just don't know yet until I have a favourable feedback and also the telecommunication act from the government

thanks
Jacky

Well they were on Fair Go last week, due to problems. Since they have ceased being a NZ company I wouldn't recommend them. Orcon are supposed to be good, and they are Government owned.

645113 2008-02-29 23:52:00 We have been with them in Nelson for a year and apart from stuffing us up when we moved house, they did not connect us back up again for two weeks after they said they would. But there has been no other problems a couple of small mail outages always fixed within the day they have been good.
Tip I find if I call on my cellphone I get to speak to someone much, much quicker than if I use the landline.

645114 2008-02-29 23:54:00 Haha, good point Gary...as it's costing them a fair bit if you're calling on a cell. Am going to have to test that theory out. :p wratterus (105)
645115 2008-03-01 00:55:00 Have been with Ihug for a long time now and apart from minor outages don't have a problem with them.

You will find people who have faults with any ISP you like to name.

Good Luck..Ron..

645119 2008-03-01 01:46:00 I have been with Ihug over a year now and am convinced that no matter what anyone says one ISP is just about as good as the next.I have seen all sorts of complaints on this forum and most of them are user pie in the sky.IE someone thinking their ISP is crap because "someone" said theirs worked better. If you are with Vodafone on yr mobile just be content (but now and again upset) with what you get. kjaada (253)
