| 333787 | 2005-03-14 03:04:00 | I am looking to buy my first digital camera the one I have my eye on is one that is a bundle package deal. Sony Cyber Shot DSCP93 (5 mega Pixel, with 3 x optical lens) Starter kit with extra batteries, charger and camera bag. Extra 128 MB Memory stick. All for $699 Does anybody own this type of camera? Is it any good? It has a plastic body is it robust? Any comments would be appreciated on this camera or can recommend another good deal. $700 is my budject level. You might find that digital cameras are like digital watches ... have you ever seen two people with the same make and model together? :) The "extra batteries and charger" looks good. The 3X optical zoom is better than none, but more would be nicer. (Digital "zoom" is worthless; its only use is for looking at parts of a picture you have taken on the LCD). There are a number of sites which have reviews of digital cameras. Here's a link to a posting I made a while ago with links to two Review Sites (pressf1.co.nz). |

| 333793 | 2005-03-14 09:33:00 | check out pricespy.co.nz for the latest prices etc and get a camera that has a well known brand and a good warranty, there are a few hidden costs with digi cams, like you buy a 5mp camera for say $700 but it only has a 16mb card, this is were you need to pay attention and shop around for bargins, go for at least a 256mb card.... |

| 333794 | 2005-03-14 11:57:00 | Go for cannon digi cam.Nobody uses digital cameras of sony if they know whats good for them.Sony cameras are overprice and the quality isn't good.Had a dscw1 camera which i sold at trademe boot it up to see the 5 megapixel camera.Ah the picturew quality was awful.Canons way better! Nobody uses sony in hong kong.lol.Too expensive and + there are other brands like pantech,canon etc! |
