333488 2005-03-12 21:08:00 Does anyone know where I can hire or buy radio tracking equipment?

I would like to know where my cat goes at night...

It would have to be cheap.

Perhaps make one I could?

333489 2005-03-12 21:22:00 About the only useable device would be a GPS, which would log the coordinates every few seconds. Then download the track from the GPS to the computer and overlay on a map.

Bit large to sling around the cat's neck though.

333492 2005-03-13 10:17:00 I think that considering the first three posts of an account are Spam, breaking the rules, that warrants deletion.

You read/agreed to them when you signed up so this is only fair!

Make a new account, start afresh, without the rule breaking.

333494 2005-03-14 02:17:00 actually, where could I find the things that radio trackers use on wild animals? hamstar (4)
333495 2005-03-14 02:20:00 well.....if you had access to a boat, and a net......You could catch yourself a dolphin, I hear they are riddled with tracking devices.

Also taste great seasoned with a lime marinade and served with freshly baked bread.

But still not as good as pan fried yellow eyed penguin.

Tracking equipment
www.titley.com.au

Or

www.uniquedistributors.com

Looks like starting point is about $700 - $1,000
Cheaper than I would have thought, but it's likely that they use frequencies already allocated to other purposes here.
