644435 2008-03-12 04:07:00 If the sound is coming from the hard drive then it looks like your drive is dying. backup anything important asap and then get a new drive Agent_24 (57)
644436 2008-03-12 12:50:00 So it still is my hard drive? :(..sucks to be me. Just bought a new comp to play better games and bah. I try to call em and ask about warranty since they said before that I dont have to use vista if I dont have to. T,T .. Pfalzgraf (13448)
644437 2008-03-12 13:00:00 If you can confirm the strange sounds are coming from the drive them yes, your drive is faulty. They are NOT supposed to make odd noises.

Hitachi has some recordings of typical failing drive sounds here:

www.hitachigst.com

If you hear any of these your drive is going bad

Take it back to the shop and tell them to fix it under warranty

644438 2008-03-12 16:27:00 Checked them all and nop, my comp makes different noise, Its similiar to first ones but not that loud and a bit different. Pfalzgraf (13448)
644439 2008-03-12 21:04:00 Well there's no guarantee that your drive may sound exactly like the sounds above, if you're listening to the drive through the case then it may sound quieter

You could also try running seatools (diagnostic for seagate drives) but it also has a generic diagnostic which can be run on all drives - and - it can be used from CD as well.

I take it you know how to burn an ISO image?

I dont know why you dont just take the machine back to the shop/dealer and demand a warranty repair, I would have done this weeks ago (at the start of this thread): just about everybody here has tried to help you at some point, but you seem to have difficulty understanding us (english not your first language?, you're in Estonia?), and we seem to have been going around in circles achieving nothing

Hello, I found this site at google and decided to ask help here since everywhere else people just dont know how to help me :(perhaps this is why (they ran out of patience), we'll probably keep trying but at some point there needs to be a resolution at your end.
Take it back OR Fit a new hard drive OR Remove the pirated/virus-ridden games OR Install the Windows Updates OR Do Something!
Farting around and wishing wont fix it.

Dude, enough x.x. Read the whole topic to understand me and yes English is not my first language..
I will take it back to warranty probably but I just wanted to know what exactly is my problem.

If you take it back under warranty, they'll more than likely tell you what the problem was when you get it back.

Even if you still figure out the problem yourself, you should still take it back to get it fixed under warranty (unless you like breaking warranty and paying extra!)

But feersumendjinn is right though, if you want to find out the problem, you're going to have to do something. As much as I would like to be able to, I can't just magically figure it out for you (and nor can anyone else)

So try with the hard drive, you said you thought it was making funny sounds... get the seatools CD image and run the tests..
