644394 2008-02-29 22:02:00 I had a Vista DVD when I bought it, so can just install it back when necessary. But about games, I must admit that Im usually downloading games so they are pirate laa... Could they test or notice that Im using pirate software/games?
And btw I tried to find all new driver updates but couldnt find exact ones for my system. :waughh:
Seriously, remote assistance via msn would be good since you guys can check at my PC and tell me what is weird or what drivers should be updated ..etc.

644395 2008-02-29 22:06:00 Well that may depend on:

Whether the restore cd's are on cd or dvd .

And whether he deleted the partition with the restore info on it .

When he installed XP .

Hopefully, if he did, he made a copy of the restore cd's / dvd first .

Thats all true, but warranties still cover hard ware not software .

What sometimes can happen as we have all seen is some hardware - HP's come to mind - wont supply drivers directly for hardware & XP, esp if the PC came with Vista .

NO One as far as I know covers software - Just think if MS did for their OS not causing problems $$$$$$$$$$$$

Pfalzgraf - Just looked back over the Posts - sorry If i missed this, but is the PC a Name Brand PC, Eg: HP . Dell, or one someone/shop made for you . ?

Edited:
I must admit that Im usually downloading games so they are pirate :groan: THATS completely different - Lots of those can cause problems .

AND you may have just shot your self in the foot so to speak - Sorry but forum rules clearly state no help with pirated software .

Try a fresh install - with Genuine software and see what happens .

644396 2008-02-29 22:09:00 I wouldnt broadcast to the world, that you use pirated games or software.

They've probably got viruses or something in/on them that are screwing things up.

I dont use MSN so cant help you.

You need remote desktop (XP Pro) not remote assistance.

Have you got XP Pro or Home?

You could get Crossloop (http://www.crossloop.com)

Thats if its compatible with Vista. If Vista is still installed

So, whats the brand / model of this system??

It doesnt sound like its a Dell/HP one. Since you brought a DVD (which I dont think many Vista systems come with do they)?

644397 2008-02-29 22:24:00 I have XP Pro atm, the shop name was Ordi AS ( . ordi . ee/EPood/BrowseDocuments . aspx?DocID=43" target="_blank">www . ordi . ee) or something and the comp is just Ordi . Atleast thats what I was told and its on my pc case :P

And about pirated stuff, to be honest, I only have games that I downloaded but no programs . Also tried original OS what I got from my friend and that didnt help either .

Crossloop, will download it .

644401 2008-03-01 17:11:00 Well I would do a clean install then install XP again.

Dont install any pirated games. And then see if it crashes

And install the motherboard drivers FIRST, AFTER you reinstall XP. If this is what you want to use.

And make sure you install XP drivers ONLY (The LAN/Sound, and video card drivers).

644403 2008-03-01 18:00:00 Get rid of / uninstall the pirated games, then see if it crashes just using Windows.

Then we'll know, if the games made it crash

Has it ever crashed just using Windows, without playing any of those games??

Post a hijackthis log, its in my sig, put it in itw own folder first, run it, then click on scan the system and save a log.

Copy and paste the log here
