334710	2005-03-17 21:54:00	If you nor happy get the 6600GT, you got all the things now.... if does not work then return it. With AMD 64 CPU and that vid card you should be able to hit 60-120 fps. Check the flight sim forum if you having further issues. You say hazy?? Go the settings and display and tick off all the texture/filtering options and play with the best perf vs best quality slider. I got a laptop with a builtin 4MB card with FS 2002, get a new vid card I say........ I get the same thing just can't improve the graphics...	Nomad (952)

My normal fps now is over 70 if I am flying. 334712	2005-03-18 00:03:00	There are so many tweaks available in MS FS to change the visibility and performance . The display options page allows you to set your sight distance, auto generated objects, terrain complexity and so on . Try changing the settings in game (press alt to bring up the title bar, click options / settings then display . The "OMG I AM NOT GETTING 100 FPS!!!!!1121!" issue is a non event, really . To get the best experience you really need to download and install a terrain mesh, which gives NZ its hills etc . There is a mesh at the Geographx site ( . geographx . co . nz/downloads . htm" target="_blank">www . geographx . co . nz ), and also a landlclass file which makes the land look better . You can also get add on scenery / airports and so on . There are many many sites out there with info . I fly on IVAO, which is an international server with others around the world . Teamspeak is used for air traffic control, and it works in with the radio comm in the plane . I also run a local Flight Sim server and often a few of us around NZ get together for a flight together . I've installed several textures for NZ and they make a change for the better,but I'm still not getting anything near your shots. Think I'll invest in a new graphics card and see what happens. A couple of Questions: Do you know of any add ons for the Rotorua area? I have logged over 2,000 hours flying out of Rotorua and believe me MS Flight is nothing like reality. Also what would you reccomend in the way of a joystick? I dumped my cordless Logitechand am using a Logitech USB. The throttle doesn't work very well. Have to use mouse for take off and landings. 334717	2005-03-18 10:04:00	Tell me how it goes, I am in the way of thinking about a new PC to play this game and other games. I am wanting it to assit myself with my private license, and who knows maybe I woudl go towards my commercial. Airlines is a dream but read its v competitive, anyway I am not at school age anymore ... In NZ, how is the multi engine rating like? Can you do it after private license or is that after commercial? Commercial and Airlines Transport Passenger license required a damn lot of hours lol... I am wanitng to do private license, one (small) aircraft rating, instrument rating .. and then see where it takes me .. maybe as a hobby or perhaps more than that...	Nomad (952)
334718	2005-03-18 10:58:00	JJJJJ, I kust use a cheap Genius USB Joystick $30 from Noel Leemings . I did a flight from Ohakea to Wanganui this evening, in the LOTR 747-419 . Uploaded pics to an Orcon site, but looks like they are down at the moment . Used to have heaps of pics on a 000k2 site, till they shut up shop :mad: Sorry, but there isn't much in the way of add-on scenery in your area Metla, if you lived in Queenstown and round that area it would probably look more realistic!
