645105 2008-02-29 22:14:00 Want to know if a computer (late model-type PC) that is currently running Media Edition of XP is capable of running XP-Pro?

Is there some value or lack of ability or capacity in the PC that dictates that it will need Media over Pro?

Maybe it's a cost thing . . no?

Why would anyone want Media over Pro anyway?

And some of the requirements / differences

You can do the same with XP Home or Pro anyway.

Just chuck in a tuner install the drivers, and use something like Mediaportal. Or Nero Home.

The screens look exactly the same.

And the Media Edition version looks like it can be fussy on what you put in the case.
