2008-03-01 01:02:00 | This is the weirdest post ever. I think step 4 should actually be step 1. AND if someone wiped your HDD, you skipped the re-installation of OS part.

Do you just have a restore CD and a hidden partition or do you have a legal version of your current operating system on CD or DVD with a legal serial number? Do you have the motherboard drivers for your chipset etc? What do mean by "secure" in steps 2 and 3? Have you drivers for the TV card you wish to install under your operating system? As it happens I only live about 3/4 hour from T/A. PM me if I can help further. |

2008-03-01 05:53:00 | What do mean by "secure" in steps 2 and 3? Buy. And I have to say I laughed, what would be the reaction if you actually did do exactly that in that order.:D

2008-03-01 06:42:00 | Buy. And I have to say I laughed, what would be the reaction if you actually did do exactly that in that order.:D OK. Step 2. Now that I know that secure means BUY. Thanks pcteck. But the post says secure (buy) and how much memory. This is not mentioned. Add some memory. Of course I would have to ask how much memory and will the motherboard support the same. Pretty much the same with the TV card as well. Would I have to get a signal to the TV card without input from an aerial. Then of course you wonder about outputs to other equipment. A tech could spend three days there. The first two days could be taken up by trying to figure what was really needed in the first place. There are two PC shops in Te Awamutu last time I looked.

2008-03-01 06:58:00 | Perhaps they meant procure rather than secure. | gcarmich (10068) | |
2008-03-01 07:22:00 | Perhaps they meant procure rather than secure. You may be 100% correct but unlike some people I do not assume. I guess I just try to ask questions to give me the information I need to make an informed decision. I do note at this time frossy13 has not posted back and I have not recieved a PM. This just for the record and thanks for your post.
