| 644914 | 2008-02-29 09:01:00 | 2 hard drives - cloned windows xp from one to the other, now I'm getting problems: Old drive was C drive, new drive that I want to use was called D so I went to registry and changed C to Z and D to C, and rebooted. All was fine, until I disconnected Z drive, then C cannot boot - just freezes at black screen, BUT safe mode DOES work.. Windows, pagefile and bootloader are all on C drive - so what is still on Z that windows needs to load normally? and why doesn't it need it for safe mode? |
