| 644532 | 2008-02-28 01:34:00 | For some years now I have been creating picture books in PageMaker and then "printing" to make them a pdf file using Adobe. They have turned out well. This year, using the same software and the same settings (I think) the resulting pdf file has pixelated pictures. The text is ok. The original Pagemaker file prints very nicely. My printer is ok and the same fault occurs when the pdf file is printed from another computer. To me the obvious conclusion is that the conversion step from Pagemaker to pdf is not right. Any suggestions on this problem will be welcome. Dick |

| 644533 | 2008-02-28 01:42:00 | try a different pdf printer? I use both PDFCreater and PrimoPDF when one doesn't work, I'll just use the other and most of the time one works... |

| 644535 | 2008-03-01 01:27:00 | Thanks for the responses. It turns out that the problem is in my hardware and the way PageMaker reponds to pdf file creation. Pagemake rasterizes information directly from the screen for "printing" to a pdf. My screen and video card are far from perfect. Thus the pdf is far from perfect regardless of the software used to create it. Dick |
