645403 2008-03-01 22:27:00 I am having my first attempt at putting a lot of photos into slideshows using Photoshop Elements 4. I then converted them to wmv files and put in scene markers using Premiere Elements 2 but I haven't used a menu. That all went ok but I have been burning my 1 hr 30 minute end product to DVD since 5.30 last night and it is still only 77% complete as I type this at 11.30 am. I have turned off all unnecessary programs and the PC is not connected to my ADSL modem.
I have burnt videos to DVD using Premiere Elements before and they usually take not more than about 4 hours to burn a 1 hr 30 minute video. Is the length of time it is taking to burn the photo slideshows usual or what should I be doing to speed it up? Thanks for any ideas.

645404 2008-03-02 05:28:00 Why convert them to wmv??

Theyre only photos not movies, or actually moving.

You dont have to convert anything.

Photos can be read on a cd or dvd. Just as long as they understand the format.

I think Photo Story will let you do this (www.microsoft.com)

Photos / slideshows arent actually video

If the program supports photos / slideshows, it should be able to burn them to cd or DVD, as is.

If the program supports burning to cd or dvd.

If a standalone cd or dvd supports jpeg or photocd, it should read these.
