645363 2008-03-01 19:39:00 I'm about to install an old graphics card into an old motherboard
but the motherboard manual specifically states NOT to insert a AGP 2x (3.3V) card or it'll damage the motherboard (due to Intel 845 chipset not supporting it)

the graphics card is Ennyah GF-440MX (www.ennyah.com.tw)
and the motherboard is Gigabyte GA-8idx3 (www.gigabyte.co.nz)

the graphics card has both 3.3V and 1.5V keys
and on it's official site the spec mentioned how it supports 2x/4x/8x AGP

is there a way to make sure the card does operate at 4x 1.5V when I plug it in?
since 2x would damage the motherboard...

oh and right now I don't see any jumpers that might allow me to change voltage settings no the graphics card

645364 2008-03-01 21:32:00 you sould be fine, its a 1.5 volt card.

you can't fit an old geforce 1 or 2 ? card which would be 3.3 volt only.

645365 2008-03-01 22:02:00 okay thanks!

so how exactly did you figure that out? do all Geforce4 AGP cards use 1.5V?
or am I miss reading the specs somewhere...
