335796 2005-03-20 10:13:00 Well, the forum hasn't quite noticed yet! It thinks I made this post at 6.30!You need to change your usercp settings for the Date & Time options in that case. Apart from being slightly ahead in time (a few minutes), PF1 has adjusted to the end of daylight savings time (DST). Set your option to "DST Correction Option: automatically detect DST settings". 335797 2005-03-20 10:55:00 manicminer, my comment was in jest, in case you have not gathered.

The idea that altering the clocks will change the available light is a very old joke.
Ah ha! You say that now...

Seriously though... given the number of people who do actually appear to think this, then I wasn't quite sure whether or not you were kidding. Also difficult to detect sarcasm with electronic communications.

I guess considering most people on here have above average IQ then I should have assumed you meant it as a joke.

335798 2005-03-20 10:59:00 There always used to be debate about where "the north" started in England. For some it was north of Watford :), then there was this imaginary line joining Birmingham to The Wash.

The really funny thing is that Brummies despite their almost unintelligible accent (ok ok I'm a Brummie), don't regard themselves as being 'up north'.
Whereas for someone from Sussex (like my wife), Birmingham is just as far north as say Tyneside.

I think the real definition of the English North is where they use the Old English pronunciations like oop instead of up, and coo instead of cow (as in the modern and old German 'kuh').
I'm a suvverner. (Sowf-ampton to be precise).

Anywhere north of London is a mystery to me.
