2005-03-18 03:02:00 | That whole thing with him and Will Robinson used to drive me nuts. Even as a little kid I thought they should just push him out of the airlock and be done with it. Someone as smart as the kid would never have put up with Dr Smith for two minutes. Trivia, Robbie the Robot first appeared in the movie Forbidden Planet, starring Mr Spoof himself, Leslie Nielsen.

2005-03-18 04:04:00 | There was a terrible NZ made one. Starred what looked like an alien dwarf, but the script was so bad I turned it off. I believe it ran for quite a few years at 7 p.m. | Graham L (2) | |

2005-03-18 05:00:00 | Ok, either I have lost my memory, or you fullas waaaay older than me. I remember my daily sci fi fixes were The good Dr (Who) and then there was Star Trek :) Never did see Day of the Triffids, I heard it was quite good though

2005-03-18 07:22:00 | Going into time warp mode, and the days of steam radio, those who lived in the UK may remember Radio Luxembourg. They ran the series around 1951 and onwards, about the adventures of space hero Dan Dare and his sidekicks, always pitted against the evil superbrain, 'The Mekon'. It gave rise later on to the Eagle comic. I used to listen on homemade radios: www.dan-dare.org

2005-03-18 07:22:00 | what about the 1979 TV series Quatermass starring Sir John Mills 1979? I'm showing my wrinkles here, but I remember it back in the '50s in very grainy black and white, and it was some of the scariest stuff I'd ever seen. | Tony (4941) | |
