335787 2005-03-20 03:11:00 It's a nuisance. I've got a sundial to adjust, too. :( Graham L (2)
335788 2005-03-20 03:33:00 Hi gf. my comment was in jest, in case you have not gathered.
I couldn't believe my eyes. It's so long since I was able to catch a grandchild with that. Brought tears to my eyes.

335789 2005-03-20 04:10:00 well its not one hour less daylight all of a sudden though.
it's just the sunlight hours have shifted to make the morning lighter and the evening darker.
It is indeed good to see you are on the ball there manic.
I was so looking forward to saving our furnishing. ;)

335790 2005-03-20 06:32:00 I agree with Terry Porritt about keeping daylight saving. Thing is who cares about north of Watford. They all got funny accents Phil B (648)

I like the one about the cows getting confused about when to come in for milking.

335793 2005-03-20 06:46:00 And yes, guess what, the clock on a "red hot computer advice" site has not been reset to normal time. Not a good look. zqwerty (97)
335794 2005-03-20 07:00:00 ........... Thing is who cares about north of Watford. They all got funny accents

There always used to be debate about where "the north" started in England. For some it was north of Watford :), then there was this imaginary line joining Birmingham to The Wash.

The really funny thing is that Brummies despite their almost unintelligible accent (ok ok I'm a Brummie), don't regard themselves as being 'up north'.
Whereas for someone from Sussex (like my wife), Birmingham is just as far north as say Tyneside.

I think the real definition of the English North is where they use the Old English pronunciations like oop instead of up, and coo instead of cow (as in the modern and old German 'kuh').
