336366 2005-03-21 01:29:00 It seems that the Press F1 clock hasn't realised that we good folk in NZL moved off daylight savings time yesterday .... time stamp is showing +1hr ahead of local time. Time for a fix? Cptn Hotshot (3904)
336367 2005-03-21 01:35:00 Check YOUR time options in the user CP PaulD (232)
336368 2005-03-21 01:39:00 Change the DST setting to either Automatic or Always Off in CP Options Greg (193)

DST setting is set to Automatic Detection and time zone is set to New Zealand (GMT +12). As I type this, local time is 12:45pm. It will be interesting to see what time stamp comes through on the thread.

336370 2005-03-21 01:54:00 Well, that is interesting. I never changed any of the settings. They were always as above. Now I see the time has come back to the correct local time (give or take 5mins).

Is this a case of the gremlins at work?

336371 2005-03-21 02:08:00 Maybe, because mine was already set to auto-detect, but the time was wrong. I reset the box to auto detect and saved the settings and the time came right just as yours did, and probably at about the same time too, about 15 minutes ago :) Terry Porritt (14)

Something really weird is going on here. I notice that while logged into PF1, the time stamps seems OK. However, if you view the forums as a casual visitor then the time shows as +1hr ahead of NZL local time. Why?

because you're not viewing the forums with your own settings.

That doesn't make sense. If, for example, you are a casual visitor based in New Zealand and visiting a web site based in New Zealand (I presume PF1 is based in NZL) using a PC set to the New Zealand time zone ..... why then does the PF1 time stamp show +1hr ahead of New Zealand local time? Is the PF1 server located in a different time zone (GMT +13), such as Tonga?

I really would like to know, just to satisfy my curiosity!

I see the statement at the bottom of the main PF1 page states "All times are GMT +13". Why ... which points to my original post as to why it hasnt been adjusted to account for the coming off of DST?

Mods ... please feel free to enlighten us all. :D

336375 2005-03-21 03:26:00 Setting the time in ones own Control Panel is a red Herring!

The PF1/IDG? clock has not been re-set for New Zealand Standard time.

If you come onto PF1 and not logged in under your user name, the time at the bottom of the page as noted by Capt. Hotshot says GMT+13, New Zealand is now GMT +12.

Re-setting the CP is just frigging it :)
