646780 2008-03-05 23:16:00 could someone instruct me on how to remove an operating system? i currently i have two on my laptop and would like to remove one. LarsJohann (13010)
646781 2008-03-05 23:33:00 What operating system are you running primarily? IE: the one you don't want to delete. Thebananamonkey (7741)
646782 2008-03-06 00:12:00 If XP or Vista, wouldnt you go into boot.ini (and see where the one you dont want is pointing to).

Delete its entry, then delete the folder that was in boot.ini (the entry you deleted)?

646783 2008-03-06 00:23:00 Or if it's on its own partition you could just right click the one you don't want in my computer and press format... it has to be in it's own partition doesn't it? Thebananamonkey (7741)
646784 2008-03-06 00:35:00 Good point, it SHOULD be

Altho, you'll still have to remove/delete its entry in boot.ini. Otherwise, it'll still bring up the option to select either, every time you reboot.
