646287 2008-03-04 20:22:00 Which Media Player is best.? Is there one Player that covers all.? Pato (2463)
646288 2008-03-04 20:45:00 Most will play most formats, except maybe realplayer/rm/quicktime files.

Otherwise, places like Apple or Realplayer wouldnt bother with making their programs.

Altho, there are alternative programs, but you would still have to install more than 1 program.

I thought that may be the case. Windows Media Player appears to do the job so I may stick with that.
How do I make it my default player. I thought I could do it via Explorer and DVD but perhaps I am having a
Senior moment.

646290 2008-03-04 21:56:00 I'd install k-lite codec pack with Windows Media Player.

It will play very nearly any media file you can throw at it.

During the installation, untick 'install media player classic' and then it will set all the file associations to Windows Media Player.

Download here (www.free-codecs.com).
