646231	2008-03-04 09:38:00	Gmail Poll & Discussion Do you use Gmail and if so are you having any issues when navigating away from the page? I have ever since it was upgraded. It takes a lot longer to do things and when I go to navigate away from the page it gives me this warning message. Are you sure you wish to navigate away from this page? There is currently a request to the server pending...blah blah Sure I understand the message that's not my problem, it's just starting to get annoying. I have long given up waiting for it to finish it's tasks. So when I do re-open Gmail again I have to rearchive my messages etc... I have only ever had this problem with the new version... :groan: Is anyone else having this problem? Apart from this I love Gmail, heaps of storage space and I like it's layout.	radium (8645)

646234	2008-03-04 09:50:00	Yes, it does!!! Its so bloody annoying but I forgive Gmail this time in the hope that they fix it (very very soon) Why do I have to stay on the page for longer now? They said they had improved speed and performance but infact it looks like Gmail is slower because its taking much longer for it to process and handle requests. Can't remember where I got an invite from to join . :confused: Use it whenever I need to put an email address in to sign up for something online . The Spam filter is very good, I can't remember the last time a Spam email ended up in my inbox .	CYaBro (73)

But with the new version It just seems to take for ever sometimes, and it's slower to load too. It was really bad when they first did the upgrade then it didn't happen so often but lately it's started doing it again? :illogical	radium (8645)

I too was extremely impressed with it's spam filter, I Never had a single Spamed email, until about 3 months when I seemed to get all this spam . But it stopped again, had a little about 3 weeks ago but thats ceased as well . :thumbs: I must say that my Hotmail account which I use for all my online registrations, has an extremely low amount of spam if any these days, it use to be huge about 2 years ago .	radium (8645)

Same here - I've had my hotmail address for a long time, now the spam has dropped off significantly - and I don't mean just being filtered, I mean not even being sent.
