| 646021 | 2008-03-04 00:02:00 | Hiyas, Having an issue at work where a domain is setup and running SquidNT proxy for internet access etc. Everything has been fine for a little while but now when users try to view some streaming videos via IE which are held locally, they get prompted for their proxy username/password - this never used to happen. Even logging in as administrator makes no difference. Anyone got any ideas why authentication is now popping up ? TIA |

Have found a fix for now which basically involves telling WMP not to use a proxy at all :) But Im interested to know why all of a sudden its started doing this after running for weeks without any issue... noones aware of any changes made to the server/workstations. Maybe Ill never know :-p |
