339447 2005-03-29 11:21:00 Alright, ill let you in on a little secret, Windows users generally don't view the Os as a holy relic and most are able to see it with its short commings, You apear to take the position that Windows users must view their os in the fanatical way you view OSx,hence this thread with the link to that site.

Its nothing, no ones interested, And Mac's aren't special just because they are overpriced, under powered and you happen to own one.

now proceed to call me jealous again,or that other famous clunker "you must never have used one" which of course makes the presumtion that you are enlightened and everyone else is in the dark.

339448 2005-03-29 11:32:00 not at all, just a little tired of the endless crap you give every thread with the word apple or mac. For somebody that doesn't give a crap you spend a lot of time putting them down. I came here not to preach but to see if there were other mac users out there i could help as you do with windows users. Been a long time reader of the magazine with a keen interest in pc's..You seem very interested in replying to topics you have no interest in plod (107)
339449 2005-03-29 11:36:00 I am interested. vinref (6194)
339450 2005-03-29 11:38:00 Miles away old son.

Im a fan of computers,Macs, linux,Windows, all of them.

And I believe in being frank, and enjoy debate, falsehoods borne on enthusiasm pretty much need to be countered, please feel free to refute logically anything I have had to say.

339451 2005-03-29 11:40:00 Well I am glad we have cleared the air! Now as this seems to be an issue just between the two of you, lets take this discussion off forum and you both can carrying on discussing this via PM. Cheers  Jen (38)
339452 2005-03-29 11:47:00 You shouldn't get so emotional about such things. As longs as your machine works for you, who cares what propaganda other people put up?

Amongst the propaganda, you always learn something new about the topic, or about the propagandists, or both. Some of it is interesting, some of it is hilarious. But I never get emotional about it. That is way too...what's the word?

339453 2005-03-29 20:55:00 I must say I am impressed by the size and price of the Mac Mini. Having not used Mac before would be the only thing stopping me from buying one, but if it can run Linux if I don't like OS-X then I will seriously consider buying one purely based on the size of the hardware, no more big-as box cluttering my workspace.

But then IBM has recently released an only slightly larger Intel box, so depending on the price I may just go this way as it will offer me better OS (subjectively) options to go with.

Not so sure about the "underpowered" bit though, RISC chip clock speed cannot be compared directly with Intel CISC chips. I think the crunch lies with the UI being optimised for the HW platform.
