| 338380 | 2005-03-27 03:09:00 | What is the protocol for someone ringing up to complain about a persons unsafe driving? If you ring the local police station do they do anything? Will they pass on details or not? How long will they look for them? an Hour? a Day? (if open road traveliing? Can someone ring up to say they (other unsafe people) drinking and now driving? if you have details will they get stopped posibly? Will Mr Policeman say thank you and do nothing? And do they still have a traffic line phone number? :rolleyes: Is this message still not getting thro? Do not drink and drive? beetle |

| 338381 | 2005-03-27 03:23:00 | from your cellphone ring *555 from a land line ring local police. unless you are following the person who you are ringing about then most of the time they will send out some paper word for you to fill in about who did what and what you saw and such like. if the person you are ringing about is a very real risk to other drivers (very drunk) they will try and find them for an hour or so. often they will not have a unit in your area that is free and so they will put out a "10-1 call to all uinits to be on look out for......" (10-1 is the New Zealand version of an APB) |

| 338384 | 2005-03-27 05:03:00 | Had some fun loving clients stay, and they decided that the complex needed to be awake at 4am, when they came back, and to my knowledge not stopped drinking in the 18 hrs they were booked into the complex, and having sculling races in the car park while they packing the cars and drove off . . . . . in a public place???? And they traveling all over NZ, so was a bit worried about the other people on the road . Talked to a lovely policeman . . . . . . . . :p b |
