646262 2008-03-06 09:42:00 Been using it pretty much ever since it was available as Beta.
I may be wrong ....but isn't it still Beta. Believe it was as recently as Sept 2006 and still is ?

646264 2008-03-06 10:16:00 I've gone the whole hog, and bought an NZ domain name which I now use with Google Apps. Gives me GMail accounts based on my domain name for the whole family, along with all the other stuff that Google does. And it's not tied to my ISP, so there's no issue if I move camps with changing my email address :)

I use POP for accessing my GMail, and have noticed no speed or access issues. Maybe if I'd been using the web interface ... ?

646267 2008-03-08 07:17:00 Seems to work fine for me, in webmail or in OE. Don't use it much though, mainly just for random stuff I wouldn't want to send to my good address etc

Got a nice phishing scam there which I thought was amusing:

646268 2008-03-08 07:43:00 I do have a Gmail acount but seldom use it as it seems rather longwinded to me.

But I've recently discovered another webmail option which I'm appreciating more - www.gmx.com. it offers a variety of addresses linked to the main username. Worth looking at.

646269 2008-03-08 10:26:00 No,no reason to use Gmail. Not too sure about their privacy policies/helping the chinese gov censor results either. Their probably all as bad as each other anyway though. michael_elliston (11766)
646270 2008-03-13 07:03:00 Gmail. Quite simply it rocks, been using it ever since i got an invite from another pressf1 forum member around 2 or 3 years ago? It's my primary email address. At home i use outlook to download my emails and when im out and about then obviously ill use the web interface, never had any problems at all. Term_X (560)
