339042 2005-04-01 23:13:00 Do not be disconsolate Cicero.

It is only the bold and daring and truly resolute and courageous who go on beyond the quotidian trivia to explore ahead and reach out and suggest things as daft as that.

339043 2005-04-01 23:23:00 But it wasn't a daft suggestion, Mark. It was quite a good tip actually but I wouldn't do it myself because my fridge is fairly new and some of those whiteboard markers do not always erase completely if the writing has been there for some time.

What I have done is create a colourful "planner" type of page in MS Publisher, got it laminated and fix it to the fridge with soft magnets. It then doesn't matter if the writing won't fully erase. It also looks better as it is more colourful and I can remove it for cleaning the fridge without wiping out all my notes.

Hey OK didn't mean to be rude or what. That bit about not coming off clearly is what deters me as ny fridge is BRAND NEW. I love my fridge.

339045 2005-04-02 08:58:00 Believe me when I say,I don't mind for a minute when people have a go at me in jest.I think all would agree it is sometimes difficult to get the subtleties of what is meant, via this medium.
Re getting the whiteboard stuff off fridge, thinners will always get it off and won't hurt the enamel.

And as the yanks are apt to say...I love you all,Muha...oops.

339046 2005-04-02 09:03:00 Trouble is Cicero, very few fridges are actually enamel these days.
There is a very good chance that some whiteboard pens will irrevocably mark the "paint" used on some fridges. If the thinners doesn't take off the paint that is...

Still, we know where you live, we hope your Professional Indemnity cover is current. Nothing a few replacement fridges wouldn't fix.

But glass shower doors will survive OK.

339047 2005-04-02 09:58:00 Righto,we will give the fridge idea a miss, obviously if you can't buy the right pen, then we will have to keep it simple .

Shower doors can save you the fussing around that can come with shower curtains and hooks, but they can be difficult to keep clean . Here are some easy tips to help with yours .

1 . Soap scum and mineral deposits will come off of those doors easily with some laundry pre-wash spray . Just spray it on, wait a minute and wipe it off .

2 . Baby oil can also help break through that hardened scum . Just put some on a wash cloth and scrub the door clean .

3 . You can prevent that build-up from occurring in the first place by buffing the door with some lemon oil on a soft cloth .

4 . To clean your shower door track, pour some vinegar onto the track to fill the space . Then scrub it with a bottle brush . Lay some towels outside the tub and pour some hot water into the track to flush out the vinegar .

339048 2005-04-02 10:00:00 Oh no, we are out of whiteboard markers. What can I use to add 'whiteboard marker' on the fridge door shopping list? :@@: Jester (13)
339049 2005-04-02 10:06:00 You could also use a projector and use the fridge as a screen, dedicated a PC to displaying notes. Growly (6)

Yeah right..... Or you could have the PressF1 members to constantly remind you of what you should do next. Cheers :)
