646887 2008-03-06 07:02:00 Sometimes corruption does happen- how you can do it,depending on what you currently have, is uninstall the current drivers, when it says it needs to be rebooted say no or cancel out. You don't want a reboot.

Turn off the PC, remove the old card ( if it has one) install the new card then turn on the PC, cancel out if it tries to load drivers from the driver wizard, put in the CD that comes with the card and install from there.

646888 2008-03-06 07:08:00 Do you have an integrated video card? If you do you will need to disable that in the bios if the PC doesn't auto switch to your new one. Fishy (10540)
646889 2008-03-06 18:14:00 yes, i have a onboard existing video card ice (12957)
646890 2008-03-06 19:52:00 Just install the new card and attach the Monitor to it, it should boot from it fine. if it doesn't then leave the card in place, attach the monitor to the onboard and change the graphic device in the BIOS as Fishy said in the previous post .
The important piece is if the wizard pops up looking for drivers stop / cancel it.
Then place the CD that came with the card in and install from that.

:

You can't install the driver first - it will say there is no supported card installed.

Plug it in first.
