| 646656 | 2008-03-05 11:12:00 | I've now had two of these D-Link modems that have strange connection issues. When hooked onto the phone line and powered up, the following happens: ADSL light flashes, locks solid for a few seconds, starts flashing again then goes out. It's out for maybe 15 seconds then it starts this whole process over again. I went to install one for a friend on the weekend. He is currently using a DSL-502T and it works perfectly, so it's not a line issue I doubt. The first one of these modems is currently in use at another client's premises. When the power goes off (which it does from time to time) the modem obviously shuts down. When the power comes on again, the modem goes through the same scenario as mentioned above. I have stood around and waited for it to associate, and ended up leaving after a couple of hours. I have even called Telecom to see if they can work out what the issue is (this was before I had the second modem that did the exact same thing). I even lodged a faults job with them, and the following morning it "magically" came right - and the internet started working on this modem. My question is - has anyone had this issue with this model of modem before? |
