646475 2008-03-05 03:17:00 My computer which I have recently built is acting very oddly on boot:
It goes through the BIOS and then sits there with a flashing cursor in the top left and then after about two minutes the windows loading screen shows up and starts normally.
Under Linux it shows the cursor for around 20 seconds before saying GRUB loading stage 1.5 and then it waits another 20 seconds and shows the stage two loading message then 40 seconds later GRUB comes up and starts as normal.

My computer has:
Athlon 64 x2 4000+ skt.AM2
ASUS MN2-MX motherboard
Hitachi 120GB IDE hard drive
No-name IDE DVD combo drive
350W PSU

Any ideas on how to fix it? :badpc:
