645809 2008-03-03 07:21:00 What is your router make and model? bob_doe_nz (92)
645810 2008-03-03 07:22:00 You will know when you have been changed as your Xtra broadband will stop working.
You will then have to log into the router config and enter your Xnet username and password.

645813 2008-03-03 08:34:00 Just wait for Xtra to stop, (and wait for the email from Xnet, after you've given them a username/pw for Xnet's.

And put them in the router, then save the settings then reboot.

As LWL said ring them if u have probs

645815 2008-03-03 19:51:00 Just put the Xnet details in, take a screenshot showing the Xnet details in the 302g and the date, then if telecom don't cut you off/keep charging you, call them and email that screenshot to someone.

Whats happening is you have the Xtra Firmware on the ADSL Router (302g). They are a crap horrible old Router too, if you can afford to get a new one, do it, especially if you want to download torrents/p2p.

It is still easy to use the 302g for Xnet, even though the home page says Xtra.

Browse to the Router, (10.1.1.1 in your web browser), log in, go to (it think) advanced configuration, been a while since I've seen one of those. :p

Click on 'WAN', then put your Xnet username and password in the respective boxes there. The format is 'username@adsl.xnet.co.nz'.

Save and reboot the 302g, and you should be away laughing. Bet seriously, get a new Modem.

645816 2008-03-04 02:33:00 is it safe to put the xnet information in before they cut me off? James281 (13409)
645817 2008-03-04 02:36:00 Yes, that is if you don't want any broadband at all right now. Safari (3993)
