338705 2005-03-28 02:57:00 I've made plenty of burgers in my time. I cook for myself all the time too. How can you possibly miss a disgusting brown crawling insect sitting on your secret mix of herbs and spices? Well I'm thinking that there must have been so many of them there that the staff couldn't be bothered swatting them off. vinref (6194)
338706 2005-03-28 03:00:00 as McChucks used to say.....

338707 2005-03-28 03:35:00 They're not too far from me so I breathed a sigh of relief when I realised I hadn't eaten there (haven't had chicken nibbles or nibbled chicken for years).

What amazes me is that they had already had their health certificate 'down graded' before they got the 'F for Fail'... weren't displaying the 'D for decidedly dodgy' cert either as required. I also think the council/health dept should be more on the ball and advise the public that the places have not passed muster, maybe decent sized ads in the local rags?

Maybe they should do Fear Factor NZ style and have the punters beating the doors down to taste the 'secret herbs, spices and roach dropping topping'.

Sadly, unlike you, I must admit that I have perused the Colonel's outpost in New Lynn a number of times more than 3 years ago IIRC. I cannot recall the chicken being crunchy and "twitching" at all though, so I might have been lucky.
