| 646901 | 2008-03-06 09:08:00 | Hi This is my first post, so please accept my apologies if I appear stupid. My problem is an annoying series of unannounced and unwelcome pop up windows that keep appearing - 'CiD.IEPop' seems to be the culprit, I've tried to get rid of it using SpyBot and Ad-Aware, but without success. Any pointers as to what direction I should take would be very much appreciated. Thanks Mike G |

If so, uninstall them via Start > Control Panel > Software > Add or Remove Programs. This because they are bundled with the malware you are dealing with (Swizzor aka Lop). Also check to see if the following are present in Software > Add or Remove Programs and uninstall them if found: CiD Help / CiD Manager Download Plugin for Internet Explorer Zone Media Then follow the rest of that site. (From what Jedi says). |
