341060 2005-04-03 05:48:00 I've just started using the IHUG Bliink 2mbps plan.

I just looked at my account overview on IHUG and it has an "estimated monthly account charges" section, which says:

20.18 ADSL time hours $0 per hour, 0 hours free $0.00

OK just what I expected

1.12 bliink 2Mb lite hours $2 per hour, 0 hours free, capped at $ 34.95 $2.24

What is this? I haven't read anything about time-based charges!

Monthly Fee (bliink 2Mb lite) 69.95
Account Balance: $76.47

OK

Before I phoine IHUG and make a fool of myself, can anyone shed some light on this? I can't find anything in the IHUG promotional stuff for Bliink about a time charge.

That's the only reference I can find.

You're getting done, mate.

(either that, or they're lying through their teeth)That's what I suspect, which is why I asked the question. I'll be phoning in the morning, and I'll report back on the result.

341064 2005-04-03 18:31:00 Don't take too much notice of Bliinks on line account details. I've already phoned them and e-mailed them about it.
It's the Micky Mouse way their accounts section works. Just check your credit card debits each month.

341065 2005-04-04 05:51:00 Well I said I'd phone and report back...

I think I got someone on Day 1. He tried hard but basically didn't have a clue. I think I'll wait till I get my next invoice and try and sort it then.

I must say this 2mbps Bliink is awesome compared with my old (getting very iffy) Ultra connection - and with the router, now the rest of the network can surf independently of my PC. :D

341066 2005-05-12 10:48:00 Its a charge for dialup hours. You might of used your 56k modem while waiting for service or something? They will refund it at end of billing cycle if this is the case. scribe (7496)
