| 340879 | 2005-04-03 01:47:00 | go to http://www.wincustomize.com. thousands of free themes, and also other programs like IconX and CursorXP that changes your icons and cursors, also some kick ass wallpapers. Before you use the skins, you have to download a program called WindowBlinds from http://www.stardock.com. pretty sure there is no spyware involved, as i have never had any troubles. |

| 340881 | 2005-04-03 02:30:00 | I recommend using the uxtheme.dll patcher (www.neowin.net), this way you can use a theming system native to winxp (the same that serves up Luna). The reason you need to patch the uxtheme.dll is because it is 'locked' to only allow themes from ms. After you have done this, you can download Visual Styles off the internet. Good places to keep an eye on for Visual Styles is Neowin (www.neowin.net), Crystal XP (en.crystalxp.net) and Deviant Art (skins.deviantart.com). | sal (67) | ||

| 340883 | 2005-04-03 06:58:00 | I second Sambaird's post. I purchased StyleXP a few years ago, worked great, good themes but then the 'almighty dollar' (kaaching!) took over and they started packaging 'advertising' with the themes. More or less to get the 'free' theme you have to download as part of the exe all sorts of crap. A bad move on their part and a good way to kill the golden goose me thinks. |

| 340885 | 2005-04-04 10:03:00 | Please stop the spyware FUD. It only installs spyware if you do not have StyleXP. StyleXP Bypasses is all and goes straight for the theme, whereas the theme by itself runs a .exe ergo installs ****ware | Edward (31) | ||
