| 339954 | 2005-03-31 19:45:00 | I have a special video project which will need to be filmed in Black & White format. All the adverts for Mini DV tape claim "true to life colour" etc, I need good old fashioned monochrome. Where in NZ can I purchase 1-hour playing time B&W mini dv tape? TIA. |

| 339956 | 2005-03-31 22:04:00 | There is no such thing as "b/w tape", it is entirely a function of what is recorded on it. The tape simply records a digital stream of data, without any knowledge of what the data is. Either the camera needs a b/w setting, or you will need an editing package to post-edit the video on a PC to black and white. |

Still, the explanation should be informative for those who wish to understand how things work. Perhaps you can explain to me why that annoying rattle goes away when I take my car to the mechanic? :o |
