Lots to think about in it.

Thanks chick4eva for drawing it to my attention.

How recently did you cut your wrists - and how are you now?

[edit: that was a very insensitive and inappropriate thing to say. This topic is not one you should make fun of]

340961 2006-06-20 16:54:00 My teenage wasn't too bad.

Had a feel sad times but werent extremely depressing.

Due to the fact my uncle's business was going bankcrupt because i think in the 1998 somehow the japanese economy was relatively bad which made my uncle bankcrupt.

My father was helping my uncle sell some of his product in NZ .But because he wasn't doing very well and especially my auntie which was her wife went out with another man.My uncle became more depressed.

Eventually my father had to look for a job and return back to NZ then followed by my mother.

My grandparents moved in as well as my auntie.1998 was my first year at high school and what made me depressed was that I wasn't allow much freedome.Always stay home rules not turn the computer on all the time.Man those time were the sadest and boringest time ever.

My auntie was afraid i might get into trouble etc etc so I had to stay home most of the time.My friend kept asking me why I tolerate such rules.I didn't say anything.

I think some of my friends all of them except 1 are still my friend kinda look down on me.

I kept getting picked on at school because I was asian.Although the teachers were relatively nice I remembered the deputy headmaster was sighing that i was to see him again.

It's not really my fault.I just get picked on.

I did ok thru high school.Repeated school certificate once and during 6th form my grandma passed away.

I did dreamed about her the night before she died.A few times too.I

Probably the most saddest time was when my grandparents and uncle died.

The wife went out with another man sortof rob his money. Now my cousin who i grew up with in NZ hates me because she's listening to what her mum and how she made so much sacrificies growing them up.What a bunch of lies.
Some people are so blinded by the truth.Maybe in the future she will find out.

I don't like it how bad people have such a long life while the good people live life so short.

340962 2006-06-21 00:44:00 Thankyou for your honesty. It sounds like your external experiences contributed to the depression and you had to face some extreme steps to get out. I agree that your doc shouldn't have just relied on Prozac. In fact I'm surprised because doctors are supposed to try tricyclics first as well as push you towards counselling.
First you have to find a good doctor, and that ain't easy.
I don't know how many I know, who have to tell the Dr what they want and low,the Dr complies.

I don't know how many I know, who have to tell the Dr what they want and low,the Dr complies.yes well, those who saw "Little Britain" last night might have got a giggle from the line that went "If you think you might be sick in 6 weeks time, perhaps you might like to make the first possible appointment with one of our GPs" I got a giggle from it because it would seem that the pressure on the medical system is indeed an international thing. Its no surprise that most docs want you in the office to say whats wrong with you so that they can write out a prescription and get the next $twenty-something, er, i mean patient through the door ASAP.

When a person is highly depressed, they are not likely to stand up for themselves and say whats wrong in any detail or take up the doctors precious time. Therefore the person is particualy likely to quickly get given the pills, and sent out the door. My own experience was certainly like this.

340965 2006-06-21 05:04:00 Although I haven't read this thread in full, I must say, every teenager will have a story to tell . Most teenagers will have thought about dying many many times . The ones without guts will get over it because they're too scared it might hurt . The ones who simply don't care will just attempt it -and if lucky, fail at it and live to learn their silliness .

My conclusion: young people are maturing wayyyyyyyyy too fast .

I think you have that wrong . The ones with guts will get over it . It's the gutless ones that can't handle life and take the easy way out

340968 2006-06-21 06:11:00 It is not just teenagers who think about and commit suicide. There are plenty of adults of all ages who do it as well. FoxyMX (5)
