647477 2008-03-10 08:49:00 Speedy Gonzales: Yep, I figured that the patch was the modified 'Original'.I agree about the Spyware Doctor. I only installed that last week, it came with a Google Pack as did a Norton Internet Security program. I don't use the Norton. Couple year back I had the 2005/6 Full version and it spent most the time updating and chewing up my resources. I usually only run Avast4 Pro (free) & Comodo Firewall pro when I'm on the net & use the other security measures to scan computer. I'll close down Spyware Doc as I think The other 2 running programs keep a clean ship. I talk to much :) Cheers

bevy121: yep, looks like Lvlord's patch has made a difference, I'm just now back on line and will see how it goes tonight.
I did reboot after each attempt to change the TCPIP the other night and haven't had the problem since the second change to 100 that I set it to.
Just that bit I mentioned about my not being able to reset a figure in the BComet 'Preferences>Connection' that seems strange, but I won't concern myself with that at the present time as I have a Torrent downloader functioning satisfactorily now.
As for uTorrent, I did get the program and tried to use it. It's a bit different to that which I've become accustomed ( BitComet is as easy as Limewire to use, haha.). I'll spend a bit of time with it tonight & figure out how to use it to find a torrent to download.
Thank's to both of you.

647478 2008-03-10 08:59:00 ps, I forgot to mention that I did disable Spyware Doctor in order to install Lvloord's patch. cya ;) gza (13233)
647479 2008-03-11 10:11:00 All good & running smooth as, I'm glad to say. Not a sign of the ' connection limit'problem since I loaded & used Lvlords patch.
bevy121, I installed & am using uTorrent 1.7.7. haven't got the hang of finding where to get a torrent to download from with it, yet.But I will. I 'import' them @ the moment. Interesting thing I find is that uTorrent opens really fast & is only using 2% CPU & MB of RAM while in use downloading.
Good stuff, cheers :)
